Wow—this whole journey of creating a blog to document my process of building a fact-checking guide has been such an eye-opener! At first, it felt pretty overwhelming, but as the weeks went on, I really started to enjoy the process, especially learning how to use different mediums to get my message across.
One of my favourite moments? Adding a whole new slide to my presentation thanks to my son. After spending the weekend at my mom’s house, he came back and told me, “Grandma shared a really cute—and TOTALLY FAKE—photo of animals and didn’t even know it was fake!” That was my cue to add a slide on Google Reverse Image Search. Gotta keep everyone sharp!
The best part? I’ve already heard from some fellow students who checked out my blog and found it super useful. And honestly, that’s exactly what I was hoping for. Moving forward, I’d love to expand this into a full teaching unit on "Fake or Real?" and how to spot the fake in today’s online world.
Excited to keep this going!
